Stage A

For this stage, a candidate will be accepted after finding a supervisor for the "doctoral dissertation" and will meet at least one of the following conditions:

A) Studied at the Hebrew University and holds a degree with a final thesis, with the following grades:
Minimum final grade 85; Final thesis grade at least 85.

B) Holds a "Doctor of Philosophy" degree.

C) Holds a "Doctor" degree from the Hebrew University of Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine, whose final thesis score is at least 85.

D) Permitted to continue his studies in a direct track to a doctorate in the same field in which he studied, according to the rules of the faculty (see extension in section on the direct track)

E) Will prove in another way that the student has sufficient and continuous training to conduct research in the subject he/she has chosen.

F) The student has completed his "master's" studies at another institution, holds a final certificate or academic degree, and the level of his achievements will be considered by the Faculty Committee, for the achievements of a candidate as stated in section A above.

The Faculty committee will be assisted by a certificate examination committee and experts as required. 

Registration Procedures

Candidate registration is done according to the guidelines on the website of the Research Students Authority.

A student who has been approved for admission as a "research student" may begin his studies in both the first and second semesters.
