Requirements and Advancement Criteria

Students must meet the following requirements in order to complete their studies for a research-track master’s degree:
  1. Requirements for advancing from year 1 to year 2: To continue their studies, students must have a grade average of at least 70 and accumulated at least 8 academic credits (not including supplementary courses). In addition, students must have their MSc study program and thesis research plan approved by their supervisor(s) and head of the teaching program (hug).
  2. Students must accumulate 24 academic credits (32 credits for Teaching program 717) by the end of their degree according to their approved study program, including one seminar of the teaching program (2 seminars for Teaching program 717).
  3. Prepare and submit a thesis.
  4. Pass the course examinations (the pass grade for each course is 60).
  5. Achieve a grade of at least 70 in their thesis and final MSc examination.
  6. Achieve a final overall MSc grade of at least 70.
